公園へ向かう途中の道で、ボストンテリアのチカちゃんに会いました。まだ１歳台の幼い子です。タイガはさっそく臭いチェック。
On our way to the park, we met Chika, 1-year old, female Boston Terrier.

チカちゃんの正面顔を写真に撮ろうとしましたが、なかなか難しい。
I tried to take Chika's photo from the front, but she was an expert in avoiding the camera just at the second I pressed the shutter.
右を向いたり、左を向いたり。シャッターの瞬間を察知できるようで、今度こそと思っても顔を逸らします。
オヤツタイムです。
公園に着いて築山のベンチで一休み。
At the park, we rested on the bench which was on top of a mound.
Time for a treat.
帰ろうとして道を渡った草地を通ろうとしたら、近所のマーク君がいました。タイガより１歳上のジャックラッセルです。
We crossed the road to walk through another field which was on our way home. We met Mark, my neighbour's Jack Russell Terrier. He is one year older than Taiga, and they met on the first day when Taiga came to the park. They have been fast friends ever since.
幼馴染で大の仲良しです。
ほとんど人気のないときだったので、ちょっとだけリードを離してみました。
As there was hardly anyone else in the field, we let them free briefly.
追いかけっこでは体の重いタイガは内側を回ってズルします。
When running in circles, Taiga always cheats by cutting the corner since she is heavy.
最後はマー君のママに甘えて挨拶。
At last, saying hello to Mark's mom.
そこへボーダーのペッパー君が到着。
There came Pepper, a young male Border Collie.
ペッパー君はマー君とは初めて会います。
For Pepper, this is the first time to meet Mark.
お互い緊張気味。
Both are a little on edge.
マー君は年下の男の子には威張るクセがあるそうで、ペッパー君を試しています。
Mark has a habit of behaving like a tyrant when faced with a younger male dog, and he started growling at Pepper.
ペッパー君は非常におとなしい子なので当惑。
Pepper is a very timid boy and he probably knows he is being tested.
そのうち雰囲気が変わり始めました。お互い「遊ぼう」モードになっています。
Soon, the mood between them changed.
ペッパー君は完全にリラックスしています。
Pepper is now completely relaxed.
マー君は腹を見せてペッパー君を安心させるほどの変貌ぶり。

もう、こうなったら止まりません。
マー君の「好き、好き」攻撃。タイガは完全に蚊帳の外。
There was no stopping Mark and, all the while, Taiga did not exist in their eyes.
