寒いけど天気が良いので、追加の長い散歩で午後の３時頃に公園へ行きました。2, 3日ぶりで公園に来るたび、落葉が進んでいてもの悲しい。でも気づけば冬至まで1週間を切ってしまっているので、時の経過に恐ろしくなります。道を降りて下のほうの草地を歩いていたら、
As had been forecast, this weekend has been freezing. However, since the weather was dry with a beautiful blue sky, we had an extra walk and arrived at the park after 3 p.m. Every time we come to the park, the deciduous trees look more and more bare. Come to think of it, we have less than 7 days before the winter solstice. The older I get, the faster the time passes, and it is scary. Anyway, we went down to the field below, and met someone whom we had not seen for several years.
A French bulldog girl, named "Tora" (she is a red brindle like Taiga). When Taiga used to go to the dog park, which was way before the Covid pandemic, we would meet her at weekends. She has such a happy temperament and, in addition to playing with large dogs, she always went round greeting each dog owner to get a cuddle. Now that she is 8 years old, she has become picky in greeting people, according to her dad. She has a doll like little body, and a round face with eyes looking confused - so cute!
飼い主さんを引っ張って私に近づいて来ました。
Pulling her dad, she tried to come closer to me.

Her cheek is warm to the touch due to her smooth coat.
フレブルにはまる人の気持ちが分かるような気がします。
She is so lovable that I can understand why some people get addicted to owning this breed.
トラちゃんとタイガの相性はというと、お互い無関心でした。
As to the reaction between Tora and Taiga, they were indifferent to each other.
その後は道を渡って向かいの林を歩きました。
After saying goodbye to Tora, we crossed the road to walk through the woodland.
カン吉君ママにタイガが撫でてもらっているスキに、さりげなく臭いチェック。
イチョウの落ち葉が地面をびっしり覆っています。
The ground was covered with ginkgo leaves.
林を出たところで会った初対面の柴犬。８歳の男の子で名前はカン吉君。柴にしては大柄で、私がこれまで見たことのある柴犬の中で最大の体格でした。散歩中に秋田犬と勘違いされることがあるそうです。
When we came out of the woods, we met a new face - 8 years old, male Shiba Inu named Kankichi. He is the largest Shiba Inu I have seen. According to his owners, strangers sometimes take him for an Akita Inu.
While Taiga was greeting his mom, Kankichi saw the chance to take a sniff at Taiga.

丘の向こうに太陽がまだありましたが、何となく急かされるように帰路につきました。
The sun was lingering on the other side of the hill, but we headed home while we had the light.
