公園に着くと何年振りかでハスキーのグレイシー君とばったり。タイガが公園デビューしたころ以来の友達です。大型犬にも関らず、13歳の今も元気で散歩しています。
When we arrived at the park, we met Gracy, 13-year old male Husky, for the first time in years. He looks magnificent considering his size and age.
Since Taiga reached 6 months old, Gracy has been treating Taiga as if she were his girlfriend. If Gracy gets too eager, Taiga scolds him. It is like watching an old couple (Taiga is now 8 years old).
人間にとって今朝は比較的清々しい朝でしたが、舗装された路面近い空間を移動する小型犬にとっては暑そうです。
ふたりとも大喜びの挨拶のあと、やっと落ち着きました。
At last, they have calmed down.
コートがツヤツヤで、飼い主さんご夫婦の愛情が伝わってきます。いつまでも元気でいてほしいです。
His coat is so shiny indicating how well his owners look after him.
少し歩くと、シュナウザーのジョン君と会えました。
We then met John, a male Schnauzer.
Although the morning was cool and pleasant enough for humans, for a small dog walking lose to the pavement, it must have been hot and uncomfortable.
そこへ、初めて見る子が到着。２歳の男の子で名前はハリー君。チワワとトイプードルのミックス（チワプー）だそうです。トリミングのせいか、一見シーズー犬風です。
There came John's friend, a Chihuahua-Toy Poodle mix, called Harry, 2 years old.
しかも、体の左側はウシさん模様です。よく見ると、足のトリミングはいかにもプードルです。
The left side of his body has spots like the Holstein cow.
中央公園の入り口の草地に入る前から、私の好きな香りが漂ってきました。科の木（シナノキ）の開花が始まっているようです。
Even before we entered the Central Park of Johoku Park, I could smell the scent of Japanese linden flowers.
林を通って公園の上のほうへ行きます。
香は確かなのに、木の真下で見上げても蕾しか見えないので、上のほうの枝に少し開花しているのでしょう。
Close up, I could only see flower buds - perhaps the high branches have started to flower.
Walking through the wooded area, heading towards Taiga's favourite spot.
階段の上でカラスを凝視するタイガ。とても女の子には見えません。
Taiga suddenly stops staring at a crow nearby.
いつも誘導されて来るオヤツスポット。木陰で涼しいので私も気に入っています。
Finally, we reached the spot Taiga always leads me to, where she can expect a treat and I rest in the shade.
オヤツが待ちきれずに興奮した勢いで大きくクシャミ。自分のヨダレを額に付けています。
She got so excited at the thought of a treat that she sneezed and got a drop of her own saliva on the forehead.
