Taiga goes out for walk 5 times a day so as not to have an "accident". We went out just before 3 p.m. for our third walk today. The Japanese maple trees at the Moroyama Park have lost most of their leaves. This year, we have been unlucky. Trees lost a lot of leaves during numerous autumn gales, after suffering loss of leaves due to the extremely hot and dry summer.Only a few trees retain leaves now.
When we went down to the field at the foot of the Moroyama Park, we met a new face: a young Akita Inu. Even from a distance I could see he was a large individual but, close up, he was massive. His name is "Mugen" which means "infinity" in Japanese. The owners initially got him in France and brought him over when they came to Japan.
Once he was comfortable, Mugen's affectionate side came out. He kept jumping around Taiga to invite her for a play.
In spite of the size difference, Taiga is also ready to play. This is surprising, since Taiga in her old age never plays with a large dog unless she has known him since her puppy days. Also, she avoids young and energetic individuals, since she cannot keep up.
