今日は生憎の曇り空でしたが、せっかくなので桜の最後を見届けに行きました。まずは、城北中央公園手前の四中近くの草地です。お昼近くでしたが、火曜日なので人出が少ないです。
Cloudy day, but we went to the park to see the last of cherry blossoms.
地面にはもうかなりの花びらが散っています。
The ground is covered with fallen petals.
少しでも風が吹くと花吹雪になるのですが、私のカメラでは捉えられません。
With the slightest breeze, petals fall off like snow.
Taiga says it's treat time.
オヤツをもらって気を良くしたのか、合図で甲斐犬らしいポーズをとってくれましたが、太いのが残念。

地べたに座るとなおのこと、お腹周りが気になります。
Sitting on the ground, now she really is plump.
「いえ、別に....」
「ん？カーチャン、何か言った？」
'Did you say something, mom?'
'Oh, nothing.'
その理由は、相方のダオちゃんが若いオスのコーギに唸っていたので加勢するため。
向こうで仲良しのコーギのポチ君が急いで前進しています。
Pochi, a male Corgi, rushing towards....
his partner, Dao, who was growling at another Corgi.
唸られているのは初めて見る子で、５歳になるイサン君。元々はブリーダーから解放された子で、ワンコ社会にあまり慣れていなくて表情に乏しい子だそうです。
The stranger is a young Corgi, aged 5, named Isan. He is a rescued dog from a breeder and has little experience of doggie society.
でも、ポチ君が背を向けた途端ちゃっかり臭い嗅ぎ。
Nevertheless, Isan has curiosity enough to take a sneaky sniff at Pochi the moment he turned his back to Isan.
あらためて、イサン君。
Well done, Isan.
揉め事がが嫌いなタイガは完全に蚊帳の外。
Taiga always stays out of the fray.
さっきの草地の桜の木と、これら↓の３本が植林されたとき、その作業中の横を通った記憶があるので、ここに引っ越してきて随分年月が経ったのを感じてしまいます。
いつも通る雑木林はだんだんと緑が濃くなってきています。
続いて中央公園に向かいました。
We moved to the main part of the park.
The deciduous trees of the woodland is slowly turning green.
川沿いの常緑樹にも新芽が出ています。
Even the evergreen trees are covered with new leaves.
初めて見るキャバリアの子。一見、巨大キャバリアの「キャバ」ちゃんかと思いましたが、この子は体格は同じでも男の子で、名前は「キャベツ」君だそうです。
Another new face - a huge (and plump) male Cavalier, named Cabbage, aged 7.
キャベツ君もタイガ同様、ダイエットが必要なのですが、飼い主同士その難しさをグチってしまいました。
Cabbage also could do with a bit of diet, and his owner and I moaned about the difficulty of controlling their weight.
橋を渡って帰り道につきました。
Stopping on the bridge before we headed home.
She would have looked much better without her tummy.
