タイガは天気の良い日でさえ、２階から朝散歩に降りてくるのを面倒くさがるのに、今日のような雨の日はなおさらです。昨日の夕方７時の散歩以来、用足しをしていないのに、朝の９時を過ぎても寝室のケージから出て来ません。膀胱炎になっては困るので、大声で呼んだら階段の上から顔をのぞかせましたが、雨用の洋服を見た途端に座り込んでしまいました。服を着せられるのが大嫌いな和犬です。
A typhoon is approaching Tokyo and it has been raining non stop for the last few days. Taiga hates walking in the rain, and she hates wearing clothes even more.
As she hadn't been to toilet for more than 12 hours, I shouted to her to come down. She reluctantly took a few steps down only to start stretching herself.
She is testing my resolve....
After all, I am the boss in this house.

公園手前にある屋敷林を通りました。夏草が刈り取られてスッキリした状態です。

This year is passing so fast and maple trees will soon be turning red and yellow.

Before crossing the road, Taiga sat down and demanded a treat (treat for what?). When she looks up like this, memories of her puppy days come back and I yield.
In the field across the road, a vine with Akebia quinata fruits. They will turn purple on the outside when ripe.
Nearby, there are several kumquat trees loaded with fruits.
The fruits are of good size.
台風は今週末が東京に最も接近するようで、食料をスーパーに買いにいった帰り、JAに立ち寄ったらこれら↓ を見つけました。私が今年の春から探していた品種のようなピンク花のノコンギク（左）です。通販の苗の半分の値段だったので、ついでに赤紫色のもゲット。
I found these wild asters on my way home from a supermarket. (I had to stock up my larder for the weekend, when the typhoon will be the closest to Tokyo.)
寒い季節はオーブンで何かを焼くとほっこりします。今日のはセモリナ粉入りの丸パン。セモリナが入るとホワッとした食感に仕上がります。
