今日は夕方から雨が降り出すという予報（実際には午後の早い時間から降り出しましたが）。朝方はミニ台風の前のように湿った風と生暖かい空気でした。公園入口の草地を横切り、ひんやりした林の中を通ります。
Another pleasant morning, but it was forecast to start raining in the evening. The air was unusually humid and warm as if a miniature typhoon were approaching. Since it was so warm in the sun, we walked through the shady woodland to go up to the higher ground of the park.
The warm wind in the sun was behind us and now the breeze in the woods is very cool.

林を抜けたら公園の上のほうへ続く道を登ります。ここでタイガの横からの姿を記念写真に。これから真剣にダイエットなので、その効果を時々記録。３日前に混合ワクチンを受けに動物病院へ行った際、体重計に乗ったら25.3kgもありました。春の狂犬病注射のときは24.9kgでぎりぎり25kgを下回っていたのに。タイガは現在9歳半。このままだと脚への負担が大きいので痩せさせます。

イチョウはまだ黄葉が進んでいないなか、トウカエデの赤い葉が際立っています。
坂を上ると、古代家のある林。この時期、城北公園で最も美しい林だと思っています。

This woodland with a reconstructed ancient dwelling is the prettiest part of the park (in my opinion) during late autumn when deciduous trees turn into autumn colours.
この林には数本のトウカエデがあり、紅葉が始まったばかりなのでまだまだ楽しめそうです。
The trees are only starting to change colour, so we have a long way to go and enjoy.

After the rest, we went down to the field where we started. In a corner of the field, I noticed a small loquat tree with flowers.
花がどっさり。来年の初夏には沢山の実が色づきそうです。
So many flowers for such a young tree - the fruits should ripen in early summer next year.
私は帰るつもりでも、タイガはまだ帰りたくないようで、前脚でふんばって地面にへばりついています。
It being a rather warm morning and having been in the park for more than an hour, I wanted to go home, but Taiga was not ready to leave. She planted herself with her front legs spread on the ground.
急に草風呂でゴロゴロ。
Suddenly, she started rolling about.
つい４，５日前にシャンプーしたばかりなのに。
I shampooed her only a few days ago....
