公園入口の草地で、柴犬のカリー君に会いました。穏やかな性格の子ですが、すっかり大人の顔に成長しています。
When we arrived at the park, we saw Curry, a male Shiba Inu. As a fully grown male, he no longer has a puppy face, although he remains a very mild-mannered dog.
There arrived Champ, a male Cairn Terrier.
チャンプとは、現在工事中の場所が草地だった数年前からの付き合いなので、いつ会ってもその頃の思い出がよみがえります。
They have known each other since they were puppies - they used to play together every evening in the field that is currently under construction (they are building an underground reservoir).
ヒナは律儀な和犬のイメージぴったりの子で、例の草地にデビューした子犬の頃すでに４歳くらいだったタイガを「先輩」と認識しているようです。タイガと会うと、こうやって耳をぺったんこにして挨拶してくれます。タイガが偉そうな態度ですが。
林を通って公園の上のほうへ向います。向こうのベンチにはトイプードルのウニ君がいました。
After that, we walked through the woods to go up to the upper part of the park. We could see Uni, a male Toy Poodle at the bench in the distance.
ウニ君も例の草地以来の知り合い。内気なウニ君ですが、子犬の頃に毎夕方、一緒に遊んだタイガとは今も仲良しです。
Uni is an extremely shy individual but he holds no reserve with Taiga, since they used to play every day in the field mentioned above.
公園上のほうへ移動すると、賑やかな集まりがありました。さっきのチャンプに加え、甲斐犬姉妹のヒナとセナ、さらにボーダーのカイ君がいました。
When we arrived at the upper part of the park, there was a noisy gathering of familiar faces: Champ, two Kaiken sisters (Hina and Sena), and male Border Collie named Kai.
Hina, the elder of the Kai sisters, is a typical Japanese dog who respects his/her elders. When she started appearing at the aforementioned field as a baby, Taiga was already 4 years old. Since then, Hina has always been respectful to Taiga. She always greets Taiga with her ears flat.

ごちゃごちゃしながら大騒ぎ。
セナは本物の女の子なので、カイとチャンプに大人気です。
まだ１歳台のセナ以外は皆、例の草地以来の友達なので顔を合わせて嬉しそうです。
Apart from Sena, who has just become 1 year old, they are all old friends from the days of the field across the river.
Sena, as the only intact girl, is popular with Kai and Champ.
この草地は他に人気が無かったので、少し自由に走らせました。
As there were no other park users in this field, we allowed the dogs to run free for a while.
みんな本当に楽しそうです。
