近所の垣根で見かけた山茶花の花。白花に外側の花びらがピンクなので何とも言えない美しさ。もう山茶花の季節、ということは年末もすぐそこ。
Beautiful sasanqua flower on my neighbour's fence. When sasanquas come into season, I am keenly aware of the impending yearend - another year will be gone.
After Taiga's diarrhoea this morning, I wanted to clean her up. Also, she was beginning to smell. She had her last shampoo several weeks ago, and she has been rolling over the grass a lot. After washing, before using the hair dryer, I took her out for a walk since it was a very warm day.
林の中を歩いていると、今日もケビンに会えました！ タイガを見ると大興奮で近づいてきます。
When we were walking through the woods, we met Kevin again! As always, he got excited to see Taiga.
タイガはうっとおしそうな顔をしていますが、自分だって10年前はこうだったのを忘れているのでしょうか。

タイガの塩対応にもめげず、ケビンたたきますはタイガの顔に猫パンチ。ボカボカボカっと一瞬のうちに何度もたたきます。
Not put off by Taiga's attitude, Kevin persisted, hitting her face like a machine gun.
タイガは終始、無表情を通しました。
Taiga remained nonchalant throughout.
その後、陸上競技場横の道や広場を散策。
公園上の方を目指して歩いていたら声を掛けられました。何年か前に、ホワイトレトリーバー同士で、うちの近所の子といつも一緒に散歩していた子は既に亡くなって、その後に迎えたこの子はもう５歳だそうです。この子はクレアちゃん、５歳。時の経過をワンコの成長や交代で知る生活を、今はしているのだなあと感じました。
As we were heading towards the higher ground of the park, someone with a White Retriever called out to me. She used to walk with my neighbour who also had a White Retriever just like hers. Now, this White Retriever in the picture is the successor to the one I used to see. She is already 5 years old, which really made me feel the passage of time.
After that, we walked through the path alongside the sports ground, enjoying the trees in autumn colours.

Depending on the direction I looked, the sky was dark with heavy clouds,
真っ青な空だったり、
or clear blue sky,
陸上競技場は夕焼けなのか良く分からない景色。まるで遠くで火事が起きているような空でした。
または半々の空模様。
or even half cloudy and half blue sky.
The sports ground had an interesting sky with the setting sun, as if there was a great fire in the distance.
帰りは茂呂山公園近くの道を通って、いつもの柑橘果樹の様子を確認。集合住宅の前に植わっています。
On our way home, we passed by the citrus tree which stands in front of a block of flats.
実の様子からしてナツミカンだと思います。完熟は来年の春以降なので実を着けたままで越冬するはずですが、ここまで鬼剪定して厳冬になったら木が枯れてしまう危険もあります。
When they pruned this tree in autumn, they removed too many leaves. The fruits will not be ripe until spring next year. But, with so few leaves, the tree may die if we have a particularly severe winter.
