今年の初め以来、朝・夕の散歩はタイガの行きたい方向へ歩いています。大抵、朝散歩は城北公園の方角、夕方の散歩は住宅街を延々と歩きます。今朝は近所の屋敷林から始まりました。
Passing through one of the privately-owned woodlands, open to the public, on our way to the Persimmon Park.
ここは古い農家の所有地なので、私にとって興味深い木々がいろいろ植わっています。特に、Youtubeで見た木を発見したときはびっくりしました。それは、中国南部の山村に住んでいる女性が山で拾ってきた実を料理する映像でしたが、野性の柿のような形をした実で、特殊な加工をすると食べられるらしいのですが、漢字が苦手な私には何の木やら分かりませんでした。でも、実と木の様子は憶えていたので、この屋敷林で少なくとも３本の大木が生えていて、秋には落ちた実が地面を覆っていました。今もその実が少し地面に残っているので、見るたびに何かワクワクします。
私の感動をよそにタイガは今日もサラダバーに夢中。向こうの窪地になっているところには黄花のアヤメが咲いていました。
Wild iris in bloom, but Taiga is only interested in the salad bar.
In the next park, Styrax japonica trees were in full bloom. They have more than a dozen of these trees in this park.
柿の木公園にいたら、友達のミニチュアピンシャーのピン君が来ました。
When we arrived at the Persimmon Park, a male Miniature Pinscher named 'Pin' came rushing towards us.
急いでやって来たのにカメラを向けたとたんにそっぽを向きます。
He was so pleased to see us, but the moment I took out my camera, he turned away.
でも、「おやつ」の言葉には即反応。
However, he reacted sharply when I said 'treat'. I had with me some home-made pork jerky with no additives.
手作りの完全無添加ポークジャーキーを上げたら相当気に入ったらしく、遠吠えしながら続きを催促していました。
Pin loved the jerky and kept howling wanting to get some more. He is an old soul so I spoil him.
あまりに珍しく協力的なので、もう１枚。
ピン君と別れたあとは道をはさんで向かいの茂呂山公園へ上りました。階段途中でタイガの名前を呼ぶと、珍しく振り向いてくれました。さっきのジャーキー効果でしょうか、期待がにじむ笑顔です。
We headed towards Moroyama Park which is only across the road. As we were going up the stairs, I called Taiga's name. She turned around even though she knew I had the camera in my hand.
It was so unusual for her to be cooperative, so I took another picture. Perhaps the pork jerky had an effect?
途中、野良のスイカズラの香りが最高でした。これを園芸種に改良したものは、イギリスではジャパニーズハニーサックルと呼んで人気があります。
The wild honeysuckle with its strong perfume - I love this natural scent.
階段を上り詰めたらモミジの広場です。ここは木陰がたくさんあるので一休みして、またまたオヤツタイムです。
We arrived at the top of the Moroyama Park where there was plenty of shades and we had a rest before going home.
