プラムなど Plums etc

 スモモ「李王」の幼果が順調に育っています。スーパーなどで見たこともない品種、しかも贈答品として使われているようなので、とても楽しみです。

Young fruits of plum "Riou": I only got the new plant in spring last year.  The fruits  of this variety stores well and matures off the tree with a strong aroma.  It is one of the varieties used as formal presents.

今年の１月に南高梅の枝を２か所、地植えのエレファントハートに高接ぎしました。最近の雨で新芽がビュンビュン伸びてきたのでそろそろ30cm以下に切り詰める予定です。青梅のジュースを飲みたくて２枝でもあれば、と思いました。

I grafted scions of Nankou ume plum on the Elephant Heart, in January this year.  The extract obtained by pickling green ume plums in sugar makes very delicious juice when diluted with water.

ラズのルビービューティが昨日までの雨で一部地面に落ちていました。あっという間にシーズンが終わりそうです。

Raspberry "Ruby Beauty (a.k.a. Shortcake)": some fruits were spoiled in the rains we have had for the last several days (the rainy season has started).

コーネリアンチェリーのカザンラクは地植えで元気に育っています。

Cornus mas Kazanlak growing slowly, but looks very healthy.

とても健康そうですが、成長はネットの情報にあったように緩慢です。
