パッションフルーツetc Passion Fruits etc

 ほんの少し涼しくなって９月６日から咲き始めたパッションフルーツに授粉作業をしておいたら、幼果がグングン育っています。年内に収穫できるよう、毎日、液肥をやっています。

The passion flower vine started flowering on 6th September.  I have been pollinating them and the young fruits are growing very fast.  Hopefully, they will be ready for harvesting before the end of this year, when I will be getting rid of the vine.

このバルコニーは南向きですが、斜め後ろの家が取り壊されて、西日も当たるようになりました。

台所で追熟させていたスモモのエレファントハートの最後の実。ここまで熟すと果皮が簡単に手で剥けます。離核の品種なので、とても食べやすい。味も最高に美味しい。

The last of the Elephant Heart plums for this year.  The taste is excellent, and, the stone is easily removed, while the skin comes off by pealing with hands.  This is the best variety I have ever known, all thing considered.

去年の秋に植えておいた白花ヒガンバナが咲きました。バーガモットとカラカラの間で完全日陰なのにちゃんと出てきたので感激。

The Japanese lycoris has started to flower.  This is a rare, white variety.  The red ones are soon to follow.

根本にはもう１本の花茎があります。

バタフライピーの種を採るために２，３の花を収穫しないでおいたら、サヤがそれらしい形になり始めています。これら２個のサヤの分でも、来年用に十分です。

The butterfly pea flowers are coming to the end of the season, and I have left some flowers so that I could get seeds.
