公園で At the park

 今日は朝から快晴で、公園に着くとところどころにしか雪が残っていませんでした。それでも雪が大好きなタイガはあちこちで顔を突っ込んでいました。

A fine day with bright blue sky.  When we arrived at the park, most of the snow had melted.  Still, with what was left, Taiga entertained herself by sticking her face into the snow from time to time.

タイガは古風な和犬なので、ボールなど洋物には関心がなく、自然の枝や棒きれが転がっているのを見るとはしゃぎ出します。雪も同様に大好き。

Taiga is an old-fashioned Japanese dog and is not interested in Western toys.  Instead, she gets excited when she finds natural materials such as sticks or fallen branches.  Likewise, she loves snow.

家に帰る前に日光で温まったレンガの上で足を乾かしてから、と思いオヤツタイム。

We rested so that her feet would get dry on the warm bricks in the sun.

タイガは一旦家の中に入ると、ネコのようにホットカーペットのぬくもりが大好きです。リビングのこのスポットは、遠くの野鳥を眺めたりブロック塀の上を通り過ぎるネコを見てエキサイトする場所です。どんなに興奮しても外に飛び出さないので感心です（かーちゃんが怖いから？）。

As much as Taiga loves snow, once she gets into the house, she becomes glued to the warm electric carpet.  Here, in the living room, she is warm and can watch wild birds in the distance as well as my neighbour's cat walking past on the fence.  She never jumps out of the room to chase the wild life.
