公園の川辺の草地に着いたら、近所の紀州犬のウメちゃんがいました。タイガを見て嬉しそうですが、なぜか背中の毛が立っている。
When we arrived at the field which is part of the Johoku Park, we saw Ume, my neighbour's female Kishu Ken. Seeing Taiga, Ume got all excited.
ズカズカとタイガの臭い嗅ぎ。タイガの耳が倒れて「何っ！」という心境のようです。
Ume was not raised in a dog community - Taiga caught unawares.
”Manners!”
タイガはウメママにカキカキしてもらって顔がデレデレです。甲斐犬と紀州犬の外見の違いは大きいですね。ウメちゃん、なんだか「日本昔話」にでてきそうな雰囲気。美しい女人に姿を変えそう。
紀州犬らしい顔でカメラの方を向いてくれました。

その後、川を越えて中央公園の入り口の草地へ。ナナカマドのような木の紅葉が始まっています。
We crossed the bridge to reach the Centre. The rowan tree starting to turn red.
そのすぐ近くのベンチで休んでいた人がタイガの注意を引いて話かけました。
An old gentleman sitting on the bench near the rowan tree caught Taiga's attention.
その人の家では現在14歳になるトイプードルがいるそうです。タイガはオヤツをもらってご機嫌。
He tells me that he has a 14-year old Toy Poodle at home, who does not like walking any more. Taiga is only happy to get a treat from him.
涼しい林の中を通って、丘の向こうの公園正門を目指します。正門からの道は今イチョウの木の黄葉が綺麗だと教えてもらいました。
We passed through the woods to go over the hill to the Main Entrance of the park where ginkgo trees were turning golden.
林から上がってきて、陸上競技場の横を通り、公園管理事務所の前を通ります。
黒いワンコに絡まれて大柄のビーグルが地面にゴロリ。
事務所前の広場では数頭の仲良しワンコたちが大騒ぎで遊んでいました。ビーグル４頭の他は、真っ黒い子で甲斐犬とラブのミックス犬だそうです。
Just before reaching the Main Entrance, there were several dogs having a lot of fun - 4 Beagles and a black dog.
Listening to the owners, it was obvious that they were great friends and were in a habit of taking walks together every day.
この子の洋服はタータンチェックのスカート付きです。
管理事務所前の広場から降りて、正門のイチョウ並木。
毎日通るたびに足を止めて食い入るように見ている菊。

穏やかな秋晴れで本当に気持ち良い散歩です。
With the dry, warm air, it was such a beautiful morning to take a walk in the park.
正門横のケヤキ広場を通って帰ることにしました。
We then walked through the woods next to the Main Entrance, where the Japanese zelkova trees has almost lost all the leaves.

帰り道、うちの手前にある区民農園も秋の支度ができているようです。
The vegetable plots near my home, looking ready for the coming winter. The plots have a long waiting list of applicants, I am told.
The area I look at every day when I pass - the deep pink chrysanthemums.
この濃いピンクの小菊があまりにも綺麗で。複数の区画で咲いているので、早い時期から他の人たちに株分けしたのかも。本当に綺麗です。
I find these reddish pink flowers so attractive that my eyes are rivetted.
