公園で At the park

 今日は朝から良い天気、桜もだいぶ咲き進んできたようなので、茂呂山公園へ向いました。

途中の屋敷林でタイガの用足しのためにストップ。

Cherry blossom season is in full swing, so we headed towards Moroyama Park.  On our way there, we stopped at a privately owned woodland open to the general public where the maple trees' new buds were just coming out.

タイガは用を足したあとイネ科の草を食べていたので、お約束のゲボゲボ。必ず３回やります。

Taiga in penance - she had eaten some grass, despite my trying to stop her, and now she has to get it out.

茂呂山公園に到着。桜は八分咲きくらいでしょうか。

Arriving at Moroyama Park

上の広場へのぼると、数組の保育園児たちが先生と追いかけっこなどをしていました。タイガを見た途端、「クマがきたー」と騒いでいました。タイガはコートの模様から、「ネコ」（サビ猫？）、「オオカミ」、「トラ」など色々呼ばれます。

There were lots of kindergarten kids and their teachers.  The children kept shouting 'Here comes a bear!'.

The cherry trees were not quite in full bloom yet.

スバル君もいました。

Subaru came rushing towards us.

ズカズカとタイガの臭い嗅ぎ。

Subaru wastes no time in taking a sniff at Taiga.

タイガに無視されて、地面に転がってアピール。駄々っ子がデパートの床に仰向けになって自己主張しているみたいで笑えます。

When Taiga shunned him, Subaru started rolling on the ground like a spoiled infant on the floor of a department store.

スバル君が去ったあと、和犬と桜を一緒に撮ろうとしましたが、

After Subaru left us, I tried to take pictures of Taiga with cherry blossoms.

何度も私に「お座り」を命令されて退屈したようで、

Taiga was bored with posing for the camera and had other ideas....

リードを咥えてビョンビョン跳ねながら逃走しました。

She grabbed the leash and ran away, jumping like a grasshopper

子供たちが怖がる様子はなくても先生たちを心配させたくなかったので、かなり焦ってタイガを追いかけました。

The kids were not bothered but I didn't want to worry their teachers, so I ran after Taiga.

とにかくタイガを広場から連行。公園の下のほうへ向います。

We headed towards the field below.

下の広場の桜は満開でした。

Here, the cherry trees were already in full bloom.

午前中は風もなく、花見には最高の日でした。

茂呂山のあとは開進第四中学横の草地へ移動。

We moved to another field, closer to the centre of Jyohoku Park.

ここの桜は個体差があって、中には六分咲きくらいのものもあるので、来週まで持ち越しが期待できます。土曜日も晴れの予報なので、ここは例年どおり花見客でかなり混みそうです。

Here, the trees were much behind with some of them just starting to bloom, which means we can expect to enjoy the blossoms well into next week.
