公園で At the park

久しぶりに晴れの早朝散歩。公園に着くとミニ柴の小夏ちゃんがいました。タイガを見るなり遊びモード。

A sunny morning in days.

Met Konatsu, female miniature Shiba Inu, at the entrance.

 この時間は公園の見回り員が厳しいのでリードを離せません。

Konatsu wants to play off-leash, but the park ranger's eyes were watching.

 In any case, Taiga wasn't in the mood it being too hot for her.

 あっけなく遊びが終わりました。

上のほうの古代家のある林。日向は汗ばむほど暑かったのに、林の中はヒンヤリ。

We went up to the upper part of the park where it was leafy and cool.

 タイガにポーズを取らせて全身の写真を撮ったのですが、太っちょ過ぎてボツ。人間のダイエットは簡単なのに、犬はなかなか痩せられません。

写真を撮っている私たちの横をダックスが通りかかりました。マル君、４歳で、一見ダックスには珍しいラフコートっぽい毛並みです。それがラフどころか、シルクのように滑らかでキラキラしていました。

 あまり他所の犬には慣れていないようで、タイガの接近が迷惑そう。

Maru is not used to other dogs and finds Taiga's approach inconvenient.

 それにはおかまいなしに、タイガは飼い主さんに甘えて挨拶。

下のほうの草地で大きなドーベルマンに会いました。エルちゃん、２年前に迎えた子で推定８歳だそうです。不届き者ブリーダーに虐待されながら飼われていたのを保護された子だそうですが、それにしても推定６歳の大柄のドーベルマンをよくぞ迎え入れてくださいました。２年経った今でもガリガリですが、２７ｋｇくらいはあるそうです。

Another new face: Elle, 8-year old female Doberman

Elle was rescued 2 years ago from a puppy mill.

She is still skinny but weighs around 27kg, so she is a large girl.

 ドーベルらしい長い脚。背中を撫でると黒いヒーターのように熱い。スムースコートの犬種は体温がもろに伝わってきます。

As I stroked Elle, her body was so warm.  Smooth-coated dogs are so different from double coats including Taiga.

 後のほうでタイガがこちらを伺っています。

会わせてみることにしました。

We let them meet each other.

穏やかな初対面でしたが、明らかにエルのほうが優位性を感じています。

A very calm meeting but, clearly, Elle felt more confident than Taiga.
