公園で At the park

今日の東京は朝から晴天。洗濯日和です。
公園に着くとミニ柴のゴンちゃんと会いました。

We met Gon, male miniature Shiba Inu, at the entrance of the park.

 ちょうどそこへ超興奮してやって来た初めて見る子。モコモコに太った白柴です。

A new face joined us - a fat white Shiba puppy.

 生後９か月のハク君だそうで、人やワンコを見ると嬉しくて大興奮です。タイガの子犬の頃もそうでした。

Haku, 9-month old male, is so excited to see other dogs and people, just like how Taiga used to be when she was a puppy.

でも、６歳半のオバサンになったタイガは自分の昔はそっちのけで、一方的に興奮して寄って来る子供には無関心です。

Nevertheless, Taiga does not recall her younger days and ignores Haku.

 ハク君は敬意を表してタイガの口をペロペロしますが、タイガは無視。

Haku pays respect by licking Taiga's mouth, but she is not impressed.

 ハク君の尻尾がモフモフで紀州犬の尻尾のよう。朝日を浴びてコートがキラキラ光るので、真っ白いキツネを連想させます。

Haku is sparkling white in the morning sun and looks like a white fox.

ドッグランに入ると閑散としていましたが、

We entered the dog park, where there were only a few dogs.

 タイガは以前一緒に遊んだことのある３歳のフク君に遊びを仕掛けに行きました。

Taiga singles out the dog with whom she played last time.

A 3-year old, male mixed breed dog, named Fuku.

 しばらく牽制のしあい。

Sizing each other up.

タイガが得意のワザに出ました。ショベルカーのように下から相手を持ち上げてバランスを崩させます。

A doggy sumo begins.

Taiga tries to lift up Fuku so as to make him loose his balance.

 フク君は負けまいと犬相撲の始まり。

一旦離れて仕切り直し。フク君がプレイバウで誘います。

After a second's break, Fuku invites Taiga with a play bow.

 駆けっこでは脚長のフク君が有利のはずですが、タイガが追いつけるよう手加減しているようです。

Fuku is a fast runner with his long legs but he allows Taiga to catch up.

 フク君の走り方に余裕が見えます。

Fuku's running is totally relaxed.

タイガとフク君が盛り上がっているところへ、ボールで遊んでいたウィペットがやって来てポトリとボールを落としました。まるで「一緒に遊ぼうよ」と言っているようですが、

A Whippet comes with a ball and drops it on the ground as if to say

'Let's play with this'.

 タイガが無理矢理フク君を自分の遊びに引き戻し。

Taiga forces Fuku to get back to playing with her.

 ウィペットは眼中に無しと言わんばかりのタイガとフク君でした。

The poor Whippet has to abandon his toy to keep up with Fuku and Taiga.

陽だまり広場の一角に生えているイチョウの大木。今が黄葉のピークです。

A solitary ginkgo tree in the sun

 青空を背景に葉っぱがキラキラ。

帰り道の林の中を歩いていたら、仲良しのサクラちゃんを見かけました。

As we were heading for the exit, we spotted Sakura.

 サクラちゃんは朝のお勤め（ウン〇）直前だったので、気もそぞろで遊びの気分ではありません。

Sakura was about to do her moning 'business' and not in a mood for play.

 タイガはサクラママに挨拶。背後でサクラちゃんがソワソワしています。

So, Taiga just said 'hello' to Sakura's mom.
